Good morning everyone :). Today I'm here to share with you my most recent layout for Creative Scrappers, for the reveal of sketch #211. But first I just want to recognize the day....
Perhaps just another day in the blogging and online scrapping world, but for me, it's a much more important day. Today is June 3rd. Fifteen years ago, I lost my dad...my Papa. It's so weird for me to say that, as it's just so hard to believe that it was that long ago. I've lived more of my life without him than I did with him. That's a hard one to say...I won't burden you with any more, but I could not write this post without recognizing this day and what it means to me.You really don't have to say anything, as I'm okay- it's only that today is not "just another day" in my world...
SO- on to my post! Creative Scrappers has another incredible sketch for your creative pleasure! Now, I completed this page while I was so sick I could barely stand (and I always have to stand when I scrap!), so I feel it's not exactly my best work. But I really do love the photo; it's from Mother's Day of me and my 3 babies :). It truly was a great day...
"My Clan"
Here is the sketch!
And what would we do without some details?
I just cannot get enough of these Scrap FX fences- love them!!
Short and sweet today, my friends. I hope that today you take a moment to be thankful for your families. It's days like this one that remind me of what I've missed out on...what my kids have missed out on...and that you just never really do know what life is going to give you. So take the good things you've got and hold onto them.

Erin, this is beautiful -- and what a great way to showcase such a great photo! (you're right -- the fence is perfect!!)
And truly, you couldn't have said it better -- being grateful for what we do have is the only way to be happy with it -- and then holding on to the memories of all that was good in what we lost.... Peace and blessings to you and your family today!
love this layout, your photo is such a moment to behold. gott'a ask how you got the brick texture look from the prima mask. i will email and ask later
Great LO! I see you finally got that Prima Mask. The fence really goes well with your pic. I am always afraid to cover up the scenery on those kind of papers & not sure how to do a LO like that.
I have been also thinking about how precious life is these days. Having to deal with relatives with cancer & friends family in tragic accidents. You just dont know how much time you have with them. Take Care.
I lost my dad at the same time...they were too young to leave us so soon. He left this life with they way he lived it, with dignity.
Gorgeous work. Love that fence and the brickwork and every detail really. Thinking of you and your father. Time never lets us forget the memories so hold tightly onto those.
I was just talking to my kids last night about you and when you heard the wolves (somehow wolves came up in conversation) and I told them you guys had "quad bikes" (is that what you call them?). Anyway, it was like I knew you the way I spoke...funny how blog land and FB can do that.
Lovely post and a stunning layout. I really love the delicate colours that you have used so well here... gorgeous work! :)
Hugs my friend :)
Love your layout and how you did the fence and it looks like you all are behind it, and the stenciling is sooo cool! awesome as always :)
Rocking use of the faux brick! So cool!!
