**This is our 3rd post today!! Scroll down for an announcement from Erin, and her ScrapFIT reveal!**
Today was my first day home alone with just the girls and me, and it went pretty well, for the most part. We are dealing with some big jealousy/behavior issues with Lilah...she really has a hard time when I'm feeding or holding Paisley..so she misbehaves, and even hits! Not sure how to handle this, we've tried various things, but she just likes the attention..ugh..any advice, anyone??
Anyway! Here is a layout I made last night, little Paisley's one week layout..time is already flying by so fast! I used the gorgeous Everyday Poetry collection from Webster's...this collection was one that I knew I "had to have" when I first saw it. Then once I had it in hand, I was a little stumped..not sure what to do with it, as I have not used Webster's much and they are definitely different than anything else out there. But all in all, I love how this turned out!! The May 1st sketch from Stuck?! really caught my eye, it was perfect for this layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look!
A couple close ups, sorry about the glare..

Love the little pout! very pretty page you rocked those papers! No advice for you sorry my kids are all grown now and my memory's not that good lol Tx
Hi.. this is so adorable.. I love the layers of papers and flourishes... and as for when you are feeding bub and your older child wants attention, I remember I used to get my son a bowl of something really special.. I think it may have even been fruit loops something he does not have at any other time and put a movie or tv on and we would all be in the lounge and together and this helped as it used to take me more the half an hour to breast feed with the burping etc between sides.. but I know sometimes it is just not going to happen. It is hard to the older one to suddenly find mums attention is with another child.. but it does get better with time, patience and they do get used to the new sibling and they love them!! I hope things work out... it is a very busy time!!
I think you nailed the Webster's on this one, Kelly!! It is really beautiful and I love the wooden accents you worked in! And Paisley is just so stinkin' cute!! :) Being the new big sister is always hard. We've had the same issues with both girls. But I think it's hardest when you go from one to two. All of the attention suddenly shifts. We still deal with it even know. Madison who is 6 wanted to know this afternoon why Reese (who is 3) could sit in my lap and she couldn't!! You would think they never see me!! :)
Sooo very cute - loving the layout and Paisley is beautiful and I sure going to feature alot.
I gave my daughter her own baby - and I have some beautiful photos of the two of us feeding our babies together.
Good luck
If you could have some special treat for Lilah. . . something fun to do or eat, maybe start a chart where she gets stickers, stars or something for appropriate behaviour when you must spend time with the baby. With the chart you could have a special reward when a certain goal was attained. It can be so difficult when they've been the only child.
You really did nail the WP. I'm like you; I love it but when I get it in my hands I'm not sure what to do with it.
awesome page!! I love that background pp! I am sure everything will work out just fine, you are a great mom.
this layout is so pretty, those photos are so precious!! I love the papers, need to get some Websters...as far as the jealousy thing goes, that's a tough one, I guess the only thing to do is give Lilah extra mommy time when Paisley is napping so she knows she's still very important...I have a funny jealousy story, Ben was 2 1/2 when Analise was born and I was nursing her in the chair, she was about a week old, and he wanted a snack so I told him to wait, and he got mad and pulled the silverware drawer right out of the cabinet, all the contents of the drawer hit the floor and then he moved onto the pans, etc. got my attention pretty quick...lol...
Gorgeous work! Love how you arranged all the goodies! Yes I'm now a follower :)
This is beautiful! she is beautiful! I love the little tag and all of your gorgeous embellies!
These photos are really sweet, specially love the little pout. You worked all the elements beautifully in your page design.
Totally adorable Kelly - don't worry about the girls, this will pass and they will grow to adore each other. Just give Lilah as much one on one time as you can manage and get her to 'help' with her baby sister as much as you can tolerate lol :)
I looked at this paper collection at my LSS this morning and almost bought it then thought I wouldn't do it justice. Your page has inspired me to go back and give it a try (just what I need - more patterned paper to add to my ridiculouly huge collection)
Absolutley AWESOME take on the sketch...LOVE it : ) Thanks so much for playing along at Stuck!!
Just beautiful...x
