Good morning!!
Well, we've reached the middle of the week and I hope things are going well for you so far. After a bit of a stressful week last week, I must say that this one is much better. I'm so much more relaxed and I've been able to get a bit of scrapping done as well! So I'm going to share with you today the layout I've created for the May 15th layout sketch challenge over at Get Creative. They always have really great sketches, and they are always right up there at the top of my personal scrappy "to do" list!!
I used a photo from this past Mother's Day, of my little Gunner and myself. We spent the afternoon 4-wheeling and I took off for a few minutes of time alone with this special little guy. He absolutely LOVES the 4-wheeler, and always has just a blast. It's funny to think he was pretty much "born" on one of these machines- NOT literally, lol- but during my entire pregnancy with him, I was always 4-wheeling, and then from the time he was a baby, he's always gotten to go with us. For the first year of his life, the ATV was my primary mode of transportation for hauling water (we live without running water, for those few of you who might not already know that!), laundry, dishes- he's always been with me. And he seems to love it more every day!
So here's my layout. I've really loved being able to keep my photos in color lately. I LOVE black and whites, but it seemed for a time there that that was ALL I used anymore- and I am happy to say I feel I've broken that trend, and have been sticking to color when it works out...
"Cherish"
This was a self-taken photo- turned out pretty o.k. I think!! ;)- Love his face...
Here is the beautiful sketch, designed by the fabulous and beautiful Melenia Agapedis:
My "cherish" chipboard title is Scrap FX, from one of their wordlet packs- love them!!
The vine around my photo is real- picked from one of the million little trees surrounding my house! I simply bent it (new wood is quite pliable) in the shape of a circle and used a stapler to fasten it.
I've included some hidden journaling...
The large chipboard "gear" is also Scrap FX; I used it as the base of my circular structure...
And two more for you, to take a look at the depth of my large cluster...
Phew! Are you still with me?? Lol...
Thanks so much for stopping by and sticking it out with me through my post. I hope you have a really great day- and of course we'll see you again soon!
xErin
