(Erin) "(Us)" Get Creative & BITW

Hello again! I hope everyone is doing well! I'm very happy to be able to share with you a NON-design team project :)~ these are rare lately...I have been quite busy with behind-the-scenes work- but last night, inspired by the latest sketch from Get Creative and the "Future" challenge from Bird is the Word, I manged to get a personal layout done.
SO- here it is:

Another page dedicated to my sweet little angel girl...based on this sketch:I loved this sketch- so versatile!
Of course we have to have some close-ups...I couldn't stop adding more and more detail- I literally could continue to add things for what seems forever!- I usually have to force myself to stop, lol...The little birds here were cut from the packaging from some Manor House flowers.
My hidden journaling:Which reads:
"When I look at you, I wonder...What does the future hold for you? Will life treat you kind? Or will it be an uphill journey as it was for me? I do hope it's not as difficult as my childhood- Only that you have your fair share of lessons so that you can grow up strong and smart. I will be there to help you along. For if you have nothing else, you will always have me...your Mom. I won't ever let you down- we're a team. I love you, Aspen!"
Supplies Used:
~ 7 Dots Studio "Wonderland" papers
~ Prima, Flying Unicorn, and Kaiser Craft flowers
~ Prima large butterfly & stick pins
~ Zva Creative pearl flourish
~Dusty Attic chipboard: fish net panel
~ Kaiser Craft wood flourishes: bird, birdcage, butterfly
~ American Crafts Thickers
~ October Afternoon "Farmhouse" Date cardstock sticker
~ Other: doily, plastic mesh, cheesecloth, book page, lace, gesso

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day today :)~ and I know that I say this a lot but I really do appreciate you taking the time to come here and see what I've created, and when you take the time to let me know what you think. I do make my best effort to return your kindness and truly do enjoy seeing what everyone else has done, and taking inspiration from your work. This internet thing is pretty darn amazing and I'm so glad to be able to share this hobby with so many amazing people. THANK YOU!! :) <3
All the best,
xErin

hi Erin! I don't comment that often but I always follow you and your sis on your blog! you both Always have stunning work! my favorite part has to always be the sweet journaling, and how, years from now when your sweet little girl will be able to read and understand all the thoughts you wrote down for her...well that will just be the best part!!! :)

This is such a beautiful LO and the journalling is heartfelt. My family always look disappointed if I haven't written something on my pages, it's so important and I don't always journal - must change that.

Erin, this layout is gorgeous and your journaling made me tear up...I also vow to make sure my kids grow up to have a much happier childhood than I had, I don't think I ever felt real true joy in my life until I met my husband and then had children...Aspen will treasure this layout and your words for years to come...I LOVE the cheesecloth and the sequins, my goodness, you are soooo good at the layering thing!

I like the soft pinks in your LO & the way the bird is flying on the netting. Always a pleasure to see what you have created. Thank you also for checking out my blog too.

This is so PRETTY and luscious! Little girls are such a blessing in our lives. They do have a little whoopsie in their teen years but it doesn't last long & the bond between a daughter & her mumma just keeps getting stronger. I have a 19 year old & we just adore each other!

Erin, the LO is just simply gorgeous, but the journaling is my favorite part. We tend to want nothing but happiness and bliss for our children, but the storms can make us so much stronger. You're wise to know that she needs a mixture of it all to come out a strong woman.
