(Erin) A fun weekend!!

Okay, so I know this is a scrappy blog, but I just had to share my fun weekend with you.
My son Wyatt is a little obsessed with 4-wheelers (he even has our Polaris instructional video memorized) and though we have one, he has been begging lately for his own. But because the cheapest youth model we'd been able to find lately was $500, it just wasn't in the cards...until the other day on a local sell & swap, one appeared for a much more reasonable price. Several others saw the post before me and spoke up before I even had the chance. But the original buyer backed out- and again, before I had the chance, it was spoken for yet again- by several people. But instead of feeling defeated, I did what any mom would do for their child- I snuck in the back and personally messaged the seller- offering her more money in order to persuade her to sell it to me instead. I figured "What the heck"- it's worth a shot.
And she gave it to me!
I was so excited! I went and picked it up yesterday and I just had a blast watching him learn. I cannot BELIEVE how quickly he picked it all up- how to hold the gas steady, how to steer, how to turn around- just amazing. In no time, he was doing it all on his own! We haven't showed him yet how to shift out of first gear- we'll leave that for down the road (don't want him going too fast yet!!)- So here are some photos to share with you:
Me not far behind...
Then today (it was just gorgeous outside- 50 degrees!), I took Aspen for her first 4-wheeler ride! She was ALL smiles the entire time! Such a sweetie!!Okay, that's it. I'm really trying not to feel guilty for what a did in regards to purchasing Wyatt's 4-wheeler. I just knew how much it would make his day (or his year, for that matter) to bring that home for him...I did what any mom would do for their child, right?? Lol...guess that is what's helping me sleep better at night! And believe me, seeing the joy in him certainly makes my conniving deal worth while...
Have a great night, see you all soon :).

Thanks for showing the pics. Love the viking helmet & Aspen is such a cutie! I am sure it did make Wyatt's year.

Good for you. The joy on Wyatt's face is obvious. That makes it worth it. All's fair in love and spoiling our kids!!! :-)
