I'm a Sketchy Thursdays fave!!

Per my Thursday morning routine, I checked out the favorites over at Sketchy Thursdays and was excited to see that my "Baby Mine" layout was chosen as a fave for their 9.22 sketch! Ok, so first off I wanna say a big "Thanks" to all of those who stopped by and checked out the blog and left comments this weekend during the blog hop!!! Here's a layout I made today, I had a really hard time leaving so much white space, but I think I will like it once I step away for awhile and look at it again later. I LOVED this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch, and I stuck pretty close to the sketch. Today when I got up, I had Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" stuck in my head, and when I was looking for photos to scrap it came back to me again, and I knew I had to put it on my layout!! As I was making this, "You are so beautiful" also popped up, so I decided to use both. Now I can't get the darn songs outta my head..lol. Thanks for looking!

(Erin) "You Right Now" Artful Delight Blog Hop Day 1 Challenge/ScrapFIT WWU #14

This is my entry for the Artful Delight blog hop Day 1 sketch challenge. I am also using this layout for the WWU #14 over at ScrapFIT to use buttons. I LOVE these photos of Gunner and I really enjoy documenting things that my kids are into at different stages of their life. I have done this with Wyatt in the past and felt I really needed to record some of Gunner's silly preferences before they passed me by! (P.S. Artful Delight's Birthday Bash Blog Hop Day 3!!

Good Morning!!! Today is the 3rd day of the hop, and we have one more challenge for you!!! I'm really excited about this one, because it is a COLOR challenge!!! I love color challenges, I think they give you such an easy start. The colors are Kraft, Pink, and White, what a wonderful combination, one of my favorites. I thought this would be perfect for scrapping photos from the day my newest niece, Aspen, was born! I decided to go all girly and frilly, perfect for a brand new sweet baby girl, right? I also used the September sketch from Artful Delight.

Isn't she just precious??? Ahhh...new baby :)

Artful Delight's Birthday Bash Blog Hop Day 2!!

I am SO EXCITED to finally be able to announce that I will be joining the super talented group of Delightful Designers over at Artful Delight!!! Artful Delight is a monthly kit club, with amazing kits!! They also do a monthly sketch challenge for a chance to win one of these kits. (Erin) "Baby Mine" Sketchy Thursdays 9.22.11

I just loved this sketch from Sketchy Thursdays when I saw it this morning, and love what it did for this photo of Aspen & me shortly after her birth. I also love that I got to use all of my favorite things on this layout: mist, paint, and stitching! And that I got to use rub-ons was a big bonus; they're one of those things that I love when I think to use them, but I almost always forget about. Thanks for taking a look!

Another day, another layout! I loved that this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch allowed me to fit several photos on one page, and that I was finally able to scrap these pictures of my little Gunner on our hike up to Devil's Kettle the day after his first birthday.

I managed to complete another layout today, amidst my busy schedule! Of course I have tons of new baby photos to scrap and sketch #173 from Creative Scrappers worked great for these two of Aspen and myself in the hospital. (Erin) "Angel" Creative Scrappers #172

I was FINALLY able to find the time to get a page done featuring my brand-new baby girl, Aspen! It's amazing how much of your time a newborn takes up, especially with a 3-year old and 14 month old to chase after as well!! But she's been pretty easy on me as far as nighttime goes, so I haven't been over-tired and was able to scrap rather than nap today :). I used sketch #172 from Creative Scrappers. Thanks for taking a look!

(Kelly) "Frenemies"

This week, Sketchy Thursdays and ScrapFIT joined forces for a double challenge, how fun!! The sketch is obviously from ST, and the challenge from ScrapFIT was to do a layout about friendship. I loosely based this layout on friendship, seeing as this one is also about the lack of friendship between these two, lol! Lilah and Gunner are cousins, and were born just 4 weeks apart. I always imagined they would be the best of friends! And up until recently, they seemed OK. But when Erin and Gunner came to stay with us recently, the two of them did not get along quite as well as I had hoped. One minute, they'd be playing nicely, laughing and chasing each other, etc. But the next, Lilah would be slapping him, taking away his toys, and they would be screaming at each other! I'm sure it is just a stage, and I'm sure one day they will get along better!!

Kelly is a Sketchy Thursdays Fave!!

Although I haven't had any time to scrapbook since the arrival of my baby girl, I still like to follow all my favorite sites and especially check up on Kelly and how she's doing. I was excited to see that she was chosen as a favorite again this week over at Sketchy Thursdays for her "Let Him Eat Cake" layout (featuring the incredibly handsome Gunner ;) )~ very happy for her and glad to see her scrapping again!!

I'm so excited, I have made 3 layouts in 3 days!! I feel like I'm finally (but slowly) getting back into the swing of things. I've had so much more energy lately, so that helps a lot!! I've been meaning to scrap these pictures of my nephew, Gunner, at his 1st Birthday party (back in July) for awhile, and finally got around to it! This week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch was perfect for this! I am also using this for Weekend Warmup #13 over at ScrapFIT, use patterned paper strips!

My layout "My Sweet Babes" was a favorite over at Sketchy Thursdays!! I got up for work at 4:30am, and checked ST as I was eating my breakfast and saw my layout on there, I was so excited!! That totally made my day!!  :) :) :)

Aspen Leigh Blegen

I'm finally posting a picture of my new little girl! I had a great delivery and I've really loved getting to know and fall in love with her over the last few days. It's definitely different having a girl in the house... I even look at boy clothes that I love and convince myself that she could wear it too...before I give up and put something pink on her, haha. Wyatt loves her, refers to her as "my baby"...Gunner isn't very pleased, but that's Gunner. He pretty much just looks at her with a stern expression and walks away after screaming at me. But he'll adjust. Trying to give him lots of attention so he know that he's still my baby boy!

Thanks for all the well-wishings from everyone. We're doing great...

I haven't been scrapping much lately, but I am slowly trying to get back into it. This is the first layout I've made in  quite awhile that was not a DT project! It took me a few days, but I finished it on time! I used this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch, and inspiration from ScrapFIT, Workout #51 Salt and Pepper...(Use black and white as your main colors).

We have had a very exciting week, with Erin having her baby this past weekend. Aspen Leigh was born on Saturday, September 3rd, and she is so tiny (7lbs, 1 oz, 20.5" long), and perfect in every way!!
