Frosted Designs- Guest Designers!!

We are so excited and honored to be guest designers over at Frosted Designs this week!! The Sketch along Tuesdays sketch was so much fun, you can find it here. It's always interesting when we both use the same sketch to put our layouts side by side and see the differences in our individual styles. Thanks for looking!!

(Kelly) "Lucky" Sketchy Thursdays 5.26

I had a really hard time with this sketch, because of the clean, simple design. So I tweaked it to fit my style, and I love what I came up with!

(Erin) "Doughnut Disturb" Sketchy Thursdays entry

I did this layout for the Sketchy Thursdays 5.26 sketch~ I really struggled with this sketch but am very happy with the results! My first time using spray ink, and am excited to try out some more! Loving the machine stitching as well, and of course the paint!

This is for Prompt 29: Baby's Day Out over at Scrap That Baby! We took the kids to the landing at the lake by our house the other day and this was my favorite picture from our outing of my little Gunner!

I saw a post on Facebook for Echo Park's Fresh face design team, and thought since I recently did a few layouts using EP, why not enter?? So....(with fingers crossed) here are my pages!!

#4 I know the entry rules said 3 projects, but I just wanted to throw this one in there. I did this one for a one hour challenge at http://www.clubcreatingkeepsakes.com/. Possibly the fastest layout I've ever done but I love it! "A walk in the park" collection!

(Kelly) "Pure Joy!" Frosted Designs sketch along Tuesdays #15

I did this one for Frosted Designs Tuesdays sketch #15...I started out using the sketch for inspiration, but got so far away from the sketch that it looks nothing like it! That's ok, though, because I really think that's what these sketches are for. I love that they inspire me to create by giving me a great starting point, then I do my own thing! Bonus about this layout is I used tons of scraps! TFL!

I absolutely love this layout and it is completely void of embellishments! I spent about an hour adding and removing "stuff" until I finally said to myself, "Adding these things does nothing for the page"~ if anything, they took away from it and from the focus of the layout, which is on my beautiful little boy Gunner!

This sketch was right up my alley! I loved it instantly (and therefore didn't waste any time getting started on it!)~ perfect sketch for this beloved picture of my older son Wyatt. There is a little glare on the photo that I just realized but try to ignore! (Took the picture outside).

I did this layout for the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday 5.13 challenge to use ribbon or twine. I love these photos of my niece Lilah and her "puppet face" as I called it~ she went through a stage where she made this marionette face and I've always wanted to do a page about it!

I used the left side of this 2-page sketch~ love these fun, bright, summertime photos!!

(Kelly) "Delight" Sketchy Thursdays 5.12 sketch

I was a little nervous seeing a 2-page sketch this week, I am still pretty intimidated by 2-pagers..so I decided to take the left side of he sketch and use that! I love these photos of my daughter taken down by Lake Superior a few days ago, she was so excited just to play with the rocks, it amazes me how "simple" life is for little ones, to find such joy in rocks! lol! I hand stitched the pleated border, and tried to mimick the rocks in the photos with buttons!

(Erin) What Hurts The Most- Sketchy Thursdays June GDT entry

I had a tough time figuring out what I wanted to do for the Sketchy Thursdays June GDT challenge. This page took about 3 days- not 3 days' worth of work, but just sitting there as a pile of pictures and patterned paper until I figured out how I wanted to do it. I had a lot I wanted to write about this event in my life so I choose to do some hidden journaling (see pictures). Over Mother's Day weekend, our little guy Gunner was hospitalized and it was quite the tough experience for myself and my husband. Thanks for taking a look~

I had tons of fun with this one, as soon as I saw this challenge I knew it was perfect for me! It might sound mean, but I LOVE taking pictures of my Lilah crying! She's just too cute!

The challenge was to use ribbon or twine on a project! I used twine under the main photo. I really enjoyed making this one, such fun colors!

I dont completely love this one, but I do love this photo of Jeremy and I when we first started dating. This is the first LO I've made with hidden journaling!

I made this layout for the Sketchy Thursdays 5.5 Sketch Challenge. Wasn't actually going to do this one as I wasn't sure what to do with the circles but think it turned out okay!

Frosted Designs entry- Handsome Gunner

I love these photos I took of Gunner (my nephew), shortly before Erin took him to the hospital (to later find out he has C-diff.) For being very ill, he sure looks cute!

Mother's Day

Today is Mother's day, so in honor of the occasion I made this lo using photos we took today. I used the May 7th sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches.

Epitome (Of Cute)~ Frosted Designs Entry

I did this layout for the Fabulous Friday 4.29 Challenge over at Frosted Designs. The challenge was to use polka dots and stripes. I was excited to finally scrap this photo (one of my all-time faves) of my older son Wyatt. I thought the colors worked so great with the photo and I had a lot of fun with this one!
