Between 3 sick kids, my scrap time has been severely diminished to almost nothing! But luckily this morning I managed to get the younger two to nap at the same time and my oldest busy with a movie so I could get my entry finished for the Dec. 1st sketch challenge over at Once Upon A... Sketch! We were asked to journal about what we look forward to most in December. For me, the obvious answer was Christmas! But I figured that was a little broad and so I narrowed it down to the one thing I have always associated with Christmas, and that is baking spritz cookies. Growing up, my sister Kelly and I always made them with Mom, and now I love that I can bake them with my own family.
Starting out on this layout, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to use up some of the Christmas paper I purchased over the last couple months...but after not finding ones that seemed to suit my page, I started sifting through my other paper and decided on the very awesome October Afternoon Farmhouse collection that was recently released! I desperately have been needing to do a funky/messy page and I did just that with my mists, paints, layers, and tearing and this is what I ended up with. (Please forgive the picture, it's cloudy and threatening snow here...)~
